Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 red pepper diced
  • 1 green pepper diced
  • 1 cup celery diced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28-ounce can
  • 1 package Applegate or Fork in the Road Hot Dogs Uncured from grass-fed beef
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper

Garnish

  • 1-2 Avocados diced

Instructions

  • Saute onions and garlic together in a large saucepan over medium heat
  • Add ground beef to the saucepan, and brown
  • Transfer the cooked onions, garlic and meat to your crock-pot
  • Add all vegetables and spices (except avocado) to the crock-pot and stir pot
  • Place hot dogs on top (or keep them in fridge and fry in pan at meal time)
  • Set crock-pot to low and allow to slow cook for about 6-8 hours
  • Place hot dogs on plate and spoon into chili on top
  • Garnish with avocado. Eat up!
